City of Kawartha Lakes Police – Two People Charged with Illegal Drugs (Names Released)
On February 6th 2025, the Kawartha Lakes Police Service (KLPS) Drug Enforcement Unit with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit and the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit executed a search warrant at a Lindsay residence.
As a result of the investigation two individuals were arrested and the following seized:
· Cocaine 365 grams
· Canadian Currency ($2705)
· Replica firearm
The approximate street value of the seized drugs was $36,000.
21-year-old Malik Blake from Oshawa has been charged with:
· Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking
· Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
· Fail to comply with probation
23-year-old Dominic Nieminen of Pickering has been charged with:
· Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking
· Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
· Fail to comply with probation
Both accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent St West in Lindsay.
