The Sam Mooibroek and Hailey Armstrong skipped rinks are the last remaining undefeated teams and the first to advance to the Page playoffs at the men’s and women’s Ontario curling championships being held this week at the Cobourg Community Centre.
Mooibroek earned an 8-6 win over Mark Kean in the men’s A final during the Wednesday evening draw at the CCC while Armstrong needed an extra end to edge Chelsea Brandwood 9-8 in the women’s A final.
Armstrong trailed 6-2 after seven ends before scoring five in the eighth.
After a day’s rest, Mooibroek and Armstrong will face the respective men’s and women’s teams coming out of the B bracket in the Page 1 versus 2 games Friday at 7 p.m. Those teams will be determined Thursday during the 2 p.m. draw for the men and 7 p.m. draw for the women.

The winners of the 1 versus 2 Page match-ups will advance to the finals while loser will face the 3 versus 4 winner in the semifinals.
The men’s and women’s semifinals are set for Saturday at 7 p.m.
On Sunday, the women’s final is scheduled for 10 a.m. while the men’s is set for 2:30 p.m.
