Canada’s Premier Free Digital Conference for Women Entrepreneurs Celebrates Fifth Anniversary

Marking a milestone fifth year, StrikeUP Canada is gearing up to welcome thousands of women entrepreneurs from across the nation to its flagship digital conference: StrikeUP 2025 – Resiliency Redefined. Scheduled for February 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. EST, Canada’s signature event to kick off International Women’s Month offers a free, world-class program celebrating the strength and adaptability of women in today’s dynamic business landscape.

The one-day event will feature an exceptional lineup of Canadian women entrepreneurs, trailblazing businesswomen and industry experts. Attendees can expect to be empowered via interactive workshops, engaging panel discussions, ample networking time, and an inspiring keynote from founder and author, Jillian Harris. A champion of entrepreneurial resilience, Jillian will share her incredible journey of choosing joy over approval and building three businesses and a brand rooted in authenticity and positivity.

Co-presented by The Scotiabank Women Initiative® and Export Development Canada (EDC), this year’s StrikeUP theme of resilience will focus on providing participants with an initiative-taking approach to growth and empowerment. “We’re thrilled to partner with StrikeUP Canada for the fourth consecutive year and continue to our common goal of supporting a growing community of women entrepreneurs across the country,” said Pouya Zangeneh, Senior Vice President of Small Business at Scotiabank. “Events like StrikeUP help advance the work done by The Scotiabank Women Initiative® to empower women to be successful, today and tomorrow.”

With support from partners including the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub, Futurpreneur, BDC, Government of Canada Trade Commissioner Service, WBE Canada, and Ontario Tech’s Brilliant Catalyst Program, the conference will tackle key topics such as AI adoption, stress management techniques, strategies to leverage your network, financial empowerment, and foundational steps for global expansion. “We are pleased to collaborate with StrikeUP for the fourth year in a row to inspire, educate, and increase awareness about the advantages of exporting, enabling more women-owned businesses to expand globally,” said Catherine Beach, National Lead, Women in Trade, EDC. “Exports generate employment, foster innovation, and develop industries. Inclusive exporting can support groups that have encountered trade barriers, helping their businesses thrive and succeed, which in turn benefits our economy and communities.”

To celebrate five remarkable years of empowering and inspiring Canadian women entrepreneurs, StrikeUP will unveil upgrades to its digital platform where the February 27th event will be live-streamed. Participants will have access to a new gamification feature, giving them the opportunity to win exclusive prizes, and a one-on-one virtual matchmaking tool to complement the many networking opportunities available to the attendees.

The conference’s influence will transcend the digital space with several live viewing parties being organized from coast to coast by StrikeUP Canada’s national community partners, providing women entrepreneurs with opportunities for in-person connection and collaboration.
