Belleville Police Service – Belleville Man Charged Following Domestic Dispute
On the 10th of January at 12:25am, police attended a residence in the city’s west end after receiving reports of an active domestic dispute. Upon arrival, police spoke to the female involved.
The involved male had departed the residence prior to police arrival.
Police learned that during the dispute, the male struck the female in the face with a carton of chocolate milk and later struck her again with his fist.
Police further learned that the male is on Probation and is on a court Release Order not to be within 200 meters of the female victim. The victim did not require medical attention.
Police are continuing their investigation and will be requesting an arrest warrant for the 48-year-old Belleville man for assault, assault with a weapon, two counts of failing to comply with a Probation Order and two counts of failing to comply with a Release Order
