Cobourg Police – Warrant Apprehension and Bail Compliance Arrests

The Cobourg Police Service executed eight warrants held by the Service on Friday morning, arresting three individuals as part of the Warrant Apprehension and Bail Compliance project.

On Friday, November 22, 2024, at approximately 10:50 a.m., police attended the City of Toronto and arrested a 42-year-old Toronto man on the strength of four warrants held by the Cobourg Police Service.

The accused was charged with Fail to Attend for Ident, Fail to Appear for Court, and Fail to Comply with Court Order.

Further, police executed a DNA warrant held for the accused. The accused was held for bail and later released on a release order.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., police on general patrol on Division Street arrested a 58-year-old Cobourg man on the strength of two warrants held by the Cobourg Police Service. The accused was charged with two counts of failure to Attend Court and Possession of Break-in Instruments. The accused was released on an undertaking.

At approximately 1:40 p.m., police on general patrol on John Street arrested a 26-year-old Cobourg man on the strength of two warrants held by the Cobourg Police Service. During the arrest, police located a small quantity of suspected fentanyl. The man was charged with failing to Attend Court, Failing to Comply with Probation, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Failing to Comply with Probation.

The accused was held for bail and later remanded into custody.
