Stanley Cup Champion Nick Cousins and the Stanley Cup Coming to Belleville

Belleville’s Nick Cousins of the Florida Panthers is inviting the community to the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre on Tuesday, Aug. 20 to celebrate with the greatest trophy in sports.

Cousins and the Stanley Cup will arrive at the lobby outside of the Mackay Insurance Arena at 12:30 p.m.

For two hours, fans will have an opportunity to join Cousins and the cup for photos.

“It is going to be a lot of fun,” says Cousins. “I think the most exciting thing about winning is being able to share it with the community I grew up in. This will be a wonderful chance to see former teammates and coaches, friends, fans, and those who helped me reach my dream. August 20th will be for the community.”

Mayor Neil Ellis says, “We are incredibly proud of Nick’s accomplishments. He continues a long tradition of Belleville players who celebrated with the community. Bobby Hull, Marc Crawford, Matt Cooke, Brad Richardson, and Andrew Shaw. Now we add Nick Cousins to that list. We are thrilled to celebrate with the Cousins family and the Stanley Cup at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.”

The City of Belleville, along with CJBQ, Mix 97, Rock 107, and Quinte News will host the event, with games, music, water, speeches, and more.

The public viewing opportunity will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
