Northumberland OPP – Ottawa Woman Charged with Assaulting Peace Officer, Threats (Name Given)

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested an individual for assault peace officer, after refusing to leave a commercial premises.

On August 8, 2024, at approximately 6:50 p.m., police responded to a complaint regarding an unwanted person at an address on Grand Road in Campbellford. Staff reported a disturbance involving an assault and the person making threatening remarks.

Police arrived at the location and the person refused to leave when directed. The accused then attempted to throw an item at police and proceed to spit at an officer during arrest. There were no injuries reported.
Sabrina WILSON, 23-years-old, from Ottawa, has been charged with:

– Assault peace officer

– Assault

– Uttering threats

– Fail to leave premises when directed.

The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
