City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Oshawa Man Facing Numerous Drug Charges
Late last night, Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 35. The result of the traffic stop, lead the officer into an investigation into drug trafficking.
26-year-old Caleb Johnston from Oshawa was arrested and charged with
– Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine CDSA 5(2)
– Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Methamphetamine CDSA 5(2)
– Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Tr afficking- Opioid (other than heroin) CDSA 5(2)
– Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Opioid (other than heroin) CDSA 5(2)
– Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000.00 CC 354 (1)(a)
– Possession of over 30g dried cannabis in a public place CA 8(1)(a)
– Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available CCA 12(1)
The accused was released from custody with conditions and will appear in Court in Lindsay on a later date.
