Belleville Police Service – Incidents Include Domestic Mischief, Strange Behaviour
Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 92 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on July 22, 2024 to 5:00 am on July 23, 2024.
Domestic Mischief
A 43-year-old Belleville woman is facing domestic charges after officers were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at a west end home Monday afternoon.
Police were called to the address shortly before 3 p.m. and following an investigation determined that one of the parties involved in an argument smashed a window.
A woman, whose name is not being released due to the nature of the incident, was arrested and charged with domestic mischief. She was released with an August 26 court date.
Strange behaviour along Baldwin Street
Neighbours along Baldwin Street called police shortly before 7 p.m. Monday after a 62-year-old man was observed looking in windows and attempting to enter homes.
Officers arrived and were advised the man, who lived nearby, had been approaching a number of residences along the street and trying to look in windows and trying to get inside homes.
Police arrived and spoke with the intoxicated man, who advised he was looking for his girlfriend.
The man was arrested and charged with Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling and held for a bail hearing.
