Cobourg Police – Hastings Man Charged with Break and Enter (Name Released)
A 29-year-old Hastings, Ontario, man is facing charges after police responded to a report of a break and enter Thursday night.
On Thursday, June 13, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police conducting a general patrol near Alexandria Drive and Burnet Drive received a report from a community member about a potential break-in at a home in the area.
Police investigation revealed that an individual had pushed in a window air conditioner to gain access into the residence. The suspect exited the rear of the residence and was subsequently arrested by police.
As a result, Dustin Wesenberg (29) of Hastings, Ontario, was charged with Breaking, Entering and Committing, Mischief under $5,000, Theft Under $5,000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Uttering Threats, and breach of probation.
The accused was held for a show cause hearing scheduled for June 14, 2024.
