Peterborough County OPP Investigating Norwood Concerns
Recently, the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have received calls from Norwood area residents expressing concerns over certain individuals attending areas frequented by children, making them feel uncomfortable.
In reports received from the public, the individuals were believed to be following young children towards a changeroom as well, a parent and their child were asked to enter a vehicle.
The Peterborough County OPP Crime Unit have identified the individuals and are continuing to investigate. Officers have spoken with the individuals and will continue dialogue as the investigation continues.
We ask that parents be cognisant of their children’s whereabouts and to report any suspicious activity to the OPP. Officers are investigating and the public should not take matters into their own hands.
