Belleville Police Service – Incidents Include Break and Enter and Arrest on Warrants

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 84 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on April 24, 2024 to 5:00 am on April 25, 2024.

Break, Enter and Theft
On the 24th of April, the Belleville Police Service received a call from a business owner on River Road reporting that sometime overnight on the 23rd to 24th of April, unknown suspects had broken into their warehouse and stole a significant amount of merchandise. Police are continuing the investigation.

Arrested on Warrants
On the 25th of April at 3:25am, Belleville Police responded to a disturbance call at a residence in the city’s west end. During the investigation, police learned that one of the involved parties was wanted on an arrest warrant for failing to appear for court, failing to comply with a Release Order and two counts of mischief. As a result, police arrested the 27-year-old female from Belleville on the strength of the warrant. She was held for a bail hearing.

Arrested on Warrant
On the 24th of April at 11:50am, Belleville Police responded to a business on Dundas St. West regarding an unwanted person. Upon their arrival, police learned that the unwanted person was also the subject of an arrest warrant for failing to attend court. As a result, the 44-year-old female of no fixed address was arrested on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
