Northumberland OPP – Two Drivers Arrested for Impaired (Names Released)

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing to work diligently in keeping the roads safe in Northumberland. Officers arrested and charged two individuals this weekend.

On November 24, 2023 shortly before 8:10 p.m., OPP attended a call for a single-vehicle collision on Lovshin Road in Hamilton Township. There were no injuries involved and the officer began an impaired operation investigation.

As a result, Clayton BARNABY, 31-years-old, from Port Hope has been charged with:

On November 25, 2023, at approximately 11:37 p.m., an officer responded to a traff ic complaint from a member of the public regarding a vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 401 in Hamilton Township. The vehicle was located and stopped.

As a result, Drake DWYER, 36-years-old, from Windsor, has been charged with:

The accused individuals are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date. Both received an additional 30-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 14-day vehicle impoundment.
