The most recent Dynamic Patrol Initiative in the east-end residential nneighbourhoods began on October 18, 2023, and continues to be a focus for the Cobourg Police Service (CPS).
The first five days of the initiative, police conducted the following:
• 70 proactive community patrols, including but not limited to Thomas Street, Meredith Avenue, Jane Street, Coverdale Street, Abbott Boulevard, and Brook Road South
• Executed two warrant arrests for failure to comply with probation
• Recovered property – generator and six bikes
CPS continues to work with partners and community agencies to support all residents.
The Homelessness Addiction Response Program team (HARP) connected with four residents regarding housing and transported two individuals upon their request to reconnect with home services and family supports outside of Cobourg.
The Mental Health Engagement and Response Team (M-HEART) has ongoing engagement with five residents in east-end area.
Dynamic Patrol is an ongoing initiative intended to enhance police service delivery through proactive patrols, increasing visibility, and community engagement efforts in the Town of Cobourg. This week, CPS continues to focus on the east-end residential neighbourhoods.
