Salvation Army Hosts Event Aimed for Young Girls in the Community

On Saturday, March 25th the Salvation Army will be hosting an event called BRAVE for young girls ages 13-18 to reach the most vulnerable and at-risk youth in our area and to show them we see them, they matter and that we are with them.

We believe that the mobilization of local communities can put a permanent end to the exploitation of girls across Canada.

At this event there will be community leaders, amazing food, swag bags, sign making, photo booth, sweet treats and so much more!!

In the morning the girls will be making wooden signs with words of affirmation and encouragement.

The afternoon will be spent doing self-esteem building, healthy relationship activities and learning about core values at The Salvation Army located at 59 Ballantine Street in Cobourg.

Come on out and have a great time with friends, good food and lots of goodies!! Register by March 18th by calling (905) 376-1045 or email, lisa.graham@salvationarmy.ca.
