Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Driving Under Suspension, Fail to Comply, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Crystal Meth (No Name Released)

Cobourg man has been charged with driving while suspended.

On Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 1:20 p.m., police on general patrol on Burnham Street observed an individual under suspension to operate a vehicle.

As a result of the subsequent police investigation, the driver, a 44-year-old Cobourg man, was arrested and charged with the following:

1) Drive while under suspension contrary to section 53 (1) of the HTA

2) Possession of schedule 1 substance- Cocaine contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act

3) Possession of schedule 1 substance- Crystal methamphetamine, contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act

4) Fail to Comply with Probation contrary to 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The man was released on a Part III Summons and undertaking with a court date of October 12, 2022.
