Peterborough County OPP – Traffic Stop Leads to Impaired Driving Charge (Name Released)

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle that was driving erratically on Buckhorn Road at approximately 1:15 a.m. on August 6, 2022. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Kristy FAWCETT (age 36) of Selwyn Township, was arrested and charged with:

• Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on September 14, 2022.
