Cobourg Police – Female Arrested for Trespass by Night and Fail to Comply

On the 22nd day of October 2021, at approximately 4:38 am, members of the Cobourg Police Service attended the area of King Street West to respond to a report of a suspicious person who appeared to be searching for unlocked motor vehicles. Through police investigation an adult female was identified. 35-year-old Tiffany DOHERTY-BOWEN is charged with the following is of Cobourg

Trespass by Night contrary to section 177 of the Criminal Code;

Fail to Comply with Probation contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code

DOHERTY-BOWEN was released from Police custody on an Appearance Notice with an impending court date.

Don’t make your vehicle and easy target:

• Never leave a vehicle running when unattended;

• Lock the doors and close all windows when parked;

• Make sure to park in well-lit areas or in the garage where possible;

• Use a visible or audible device that shows a vehicle is protected;

• Don’t leave valuables in view in your car;

• Don’t leave personal information in the glove box when parked.
