Are you ready to rock Northumberland County? Cobourg Media is proud to present Northumberland Rocks back, an outdoor concert at the Lions Community Centre on Friday, August 20, 2021, at 7 pm in support of Northumberland United Way’s COVID-19 Community Relief Fund.
The past couple of years have been tough and we’re ready to come together once again, and rock back as a community. Leading the show is a group of talented local musicians; Cale Crowe, The Spirits, Jeremy Macklin, and Jesse Slack will take to the stage and reunite the community with their exciting performances. They’ll be joined by hosts Graham Beer and York Bell-Smith, who will celebrate the spirit of Northumberland County with stories from the pandemic and feature frontline, essential workers.
There are two ticket selections available for purchase. You can attend the show in person or watch the live stream online at home. In-person tickets are $25 per person and live stream tickets are $10 per household (plus tax and processing fees). Tickets are available to purchase through Eventbrite by visiting www.northumberlandrocks.ca
“Cobourg Media is proud to safely reunite the community with an exciting live music experience,” said Graham Beer, Chair of Northumberland Rocks Back and Executive Producer of Cobourg Media. “Our team of community volunteers are working tirelessly to make a substantial local impact and to create a high-quality show.”
All proceeds from the event will support the Northumberland United Way COVID-19 Community Relief Fund. This fund was launched in March 2020, just days before official stay-at-home orders began. Since then, it has raised more than $45,000 to address emergency COVID-19 efforts in our community and has supported more than 30 local organizations. Northumberland United Way continues to raise dollars to help our community recover and as quickly as we are raising funds through our relief fund, we’re distributing them back into our community.
“We are so excited to be part of this in-person concert that will bring a bit of normalcy back into our lives in Northumberland,” says Bobbie Dawson, CEO, Northumberland United Way. “We are honoured to be the charity of choice by Cobourg Media. We are so grateful for our partnership with them and for the Lion’s Centre for hosting what is sure to be a spectacular event.”
The Northumberland Rocks Back team, in partnership with the Lions Club of Cobourg and the Northumberland United Way, are actively looking for advertisers and volunteers to help make this a very successful event. Please email contact@northumberlandrocks.ca for further details. Thank you to our sponsors Wharram Tree Service, BIN IT, Classic Rock 107.9 and MyFM 93.3.
“The Lions Club of Cobourg is very excited to be partnering with Cobourg Media to host the first-ever Northumberland Rocks Back outdoor concert,” said Vicky Davis, Lions Club of Cobourg President. “It’s a chance to bring our community back together again with great music, stories from the pandemic, and a wide selection of food, cold beverages and much more! It will be a night to remember.”
Northumberland Rocks Back wants to create a safe and comfortable experience for all. COVID-19 precautions will be our utmost priority, and all local and provincial-wide protocols will be in place to ensure the wellbeing and safety of everyone in attendance. Ticketholders must agree to and accept the Safety Contract terms and conditions outlined at www.northumberlandrocks.ca/safety-plan.
“We can’t wait to have you at our event or watching live from home. The power of our community will do great things to support local charitable organizations, services and programs,” added Graham Beer.
