Peterborough County OPP – E-Bike Operator Charged With Impaired Driving
Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired e-bike operator in the Village of Havelock at approximately 3:00pm yesterday afternoon. An officer on bicycle patrol located the e-bike on Ottawa Street and was able to conduct a traffic stop. The operator was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Wayne WHITE (age 53) of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
• Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs
• Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on August 26, 2021.
