Cobourg Police – Robbery and Arrests

Police seek information on the location of a person involved in a robbery after two arrested.


On the afternoon of Tuesday, June 1, 2021, police were dispatched to the area of James Street and George
Street in response to a report of several people hitting each other with golf clubs.


The suspects fled before police arrived. The Cobourg Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch, Uniform
members and Forensic Identification Services attended the scene. Through investigation, it was determined
that the victim had been assaulted and robbed by three suspects known by the victim.

Two of the three suspects were arrested by uniform members of the Cobourg Police, with the third still outstanding.
As a result of this investigation, police arrested the following persons:


Peter James MUNRO (PJ), a 31-year-old man of Cobourg, was charged with the following offences:

Robbery contrary to section 343(d) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, contrary to section 88(1) of the Criminal Code of
Canada

Assault with a weapon contrary to Section 267(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Assault-cause bodily harm, contrary to section 267(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Victoria WILSON, a 22-year-old woman of Cobourg, was charged with:

Robbery contrary to section 343(d) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Both accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing later today.

The third person still outstanding for this robbery is a 29-year-old man of Cobourg, Wallace MUNRO.
