(HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On May 30, 2021 at approximately 7:05 p.m. members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information that two motorists were involved in an apparent road rage incident. One of the drivers is alleged to have displayed what appeared to be a shotgun to the other driver involved in the incident.
Officers were able to mobilize and conduct a hi gh risk vehicle stop. Officers located a male driver and female passenger in the motor vehicle. Police discovered a shotgun and ammunition in the vehicle. Officers suspected that the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver failed a roadside screening device.
The driver and accused Vladmir Alexander BORIC (age 58) of North York was charged with the following offences:
Breach of firearms regulation – transport firearm or restricted weapon
Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The passenger Mitzi FLORES (age 32) of North York was charged with the following offence.
Breach of firearms regulation – transport firearm or restricted weapon
The accused parties were released and is scheduled to attend the Ontario court of Justice on July 14, 2021.
