Woman arrested on warrant
A woman has been arrested on a warrant held by the Cobourg Police Service.
On the morning of March 6, 2021, officers with the Hamilton Police Service arrested a woman wanted on a
warrant held by the Cobourg Police Service.
As a result, 27-year-old Samantha Ascroft-Walker of Glanbrook, Ontario, is charged with:
· Theft under $5000 contrary to Section 334(b) of the Criminal Code
· Possession of Property obtained by crime under $5000 contrary to Section 355(b) of the Criminal Code
The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date
Two arrested on warrant
A man and woman have been arrested on warrants held by the Cobourg Police Service.
In the early afternoon of March 7, 2021, officers with the Port Hope Police Service arrested a man
wanted on a warrant held by the Cobourg Police Service (CPS).
34-year-old Kory TRENOUTH of Port Hope is charged with:
Theft under $5000 contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code
The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
Later that afternoon, Cobourg police on general patrol observed a woman on Division Street known
to be wanted by CPS on an outstanding warrant.
As a result of police investigation, 24-year-old Amanda MUNRO of Cobourg was arrested on the
strength of the warrant and charged with:
· Theft under $5000, contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code
· Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code x2
· Fraudulent use of a credit card, contrary to section 342(3) of the Criminal Code
· Fail to comply with appearance notice – fingerprinting, contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code
· Fail to attend court after having appeared, contrary to section 145(2)(b) of the Criminal Code
MUNRO was released from police custody on an undertaking with a future court date.
