Cobourg Police – Warrant Arrests
Two people were arrested on warrants by the Cobourg Police Service.
On Tuesday, January 26, 2020, at 11:30 am, police were on patrol and observed a man wanted by the Cobourg Police Service on an outstanding warrant riding a bike in the area of Division St and King St.
As a result, Grant HOOPER, a 48-year-old man from the Town of Cobourg, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
1. Theft under $5000 contrary to Section 334(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada
2. Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
HOOPER was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
On the same day, at 3:30 pm, police were on patrol and observed a woman wanted by the Cobourg Police Service on an outstanding warrant walking in the area of John Street.
As a result, Lindsay TURLAND, a 33-year-old woman from the Town of Cobourg, was arrested and charged with the following offence:
1. Fail to comply with Appearance Notice – Court/Finger printing contrary to Section 145(3) of the
Criminal Code of Canada
TURLAND was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
