City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Drivers Charged With Impaired Driving
Two separate single vehicle collisions investigated by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in the drivers arrest for an alcohol related offence.
On December 4, 2020 just before 11:00p.m. an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP attended a collision on Highway 35 near Boundary Road. The ensuing investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Glenn Murray, 28 years of age, of Enniskillen, who was charged with the Criminal Code offence of operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on February 25, 2021.
On December 5, 2020 just after 6:00a.m. an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP attended a collision on Highway 35 between Cobobonk and Fenelon Falls in response to a rolled over vehicle and subsequently determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol.
Tanner Craig, 19 years of age, of Omemee, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), contrary to the Criminal Code
- Careless driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on February 4 , 2021.
