Cramahe Township council is pleased to welcome Barbara Waldron as Chief Building Official effective November 9, 2020. She will oversee the issuing of building permits and inspections in the municipality.
An architectural graduate from Loyalist College, Ms. Waldron first worked in architectural design for a Peterborough firm, then established her own architectural design business in 1999. In 2000, she became Chief Building Official for the Township of Asphodel-Norwood for seven years and then the Chief Building Official for the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan for the last 14 years with the last two of those years as the Director of Building and Planning / Chief Building Official.
Ms. Waldron serves on the Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA) as a Director at Large, sits on many provincial committees through the OBOA and as serves as the Editor for the OBOA technical magazine called The Journal. She is a registered BCIN (Building Code Identification Number) designer.
