Northumberland OPP – Investigating Suspicious Vehicle in Alderville First Nation

On Tuesday September 29, 2020, members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the Alderville First Nation community.

At approximately 8:30 am, a student was riding a bicycle on the 2nd Line heading to school. The student was approached by an unknown male driving an older model black two door Ford sedan. The male stopped his vehicle and attempted to start a conversation with the student by offering candy. The student declined the offer and left the location rapidly on the bicycle.

The driver of the vehicle is described as an older white male having grey hair, wearing a grey toque with facial hair. He was observed to be missing teeth, with facial scars near his eyes and had a strong odour of cigarettes.

Police are looking to speak with the driver of the vehicle or with any witnesses that may have been in the area at the time of the incident.
