Update – Northumberland OPP – Dispatched to Address in Alderville for Bomb Call

Update – Although no update has been released by Peterborough Police Service, Northumberland OPP has issued a release concerning the incident.

(ALDERVILLE, ON) – On the 29th of July 2020, at approximately 11:55 am, members of the Northumberland detachment of the Ontario provincial Police (OPP) attended an address in Alderville First Nations after receiving information about a phone call that involved a threat to bring a bomb to an address in Alderville. The officers arrived on scene and quickly determined through an investigation, that both the suspect and address in question were located within the city of Peterborough and that there was no threat to the safety of the community of Alderville. The information was provided to the Peterborough Police service for investigation.
