Ontario Provincial Police Searching Property Where Homicide Victim Was Found in Cramahe

Increased police presence in Cramahe Township

Under the direction of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch, the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit continue their investigation into the homicide of Boyd WOODS, a 72 year old resident of Cramahe Township, Ontario.

A number of OPP officers were on scene on the morning of Wednesday, July 15, 2020, but a number of officers were redeployed to an emergency in the Minden area.

Members of the public can expect to see a continued increase in the presence of OPP personnel and vehicles in the area as the investigation remains ongoing.

A Command Post was set up on the property in the afternoon.  Members of the Emergency Response Team and other units were on scene searching the property for any evidence.

Officers using ropes carefully searched a steep hill on the south side of a building where Woods body was found.

Heavy machinery was also used to clear away wood piles searching for any evidence.

The OPP is asking members of the community for their assistance and asking anyone with any information pertaining to this investigation to contact the Northumberland OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
