It’s a work in progress for a Port Hope woman creating art along the lakeshore.
Since early March, Ariel Reilly has been creating artwork at the east end of Lake Street along the Waterfront Trail.
Reilly said she’s been spends up to four evenings during the week at the area creating a fence and archway out of driftwood along with a number of rock sculptures.
“I try to add a little bit each time. Dragging driftwood from further down the beach.”
The idea came naturally as Reilly does this type of artwork in her backyard.
“People come by and talk and compliment me quite a bit.”
Like piecing together a jigsaw puzzle of driftwood, the only difference is this artwork has no end.
People are welcome to add to the wooden fence or create their own rock sculptures in the area when Reilly is working.
