Cobourg Police – Fraud and Use Unauthorized Credit Card Charges

On Friday May 15th 2020 Police were on general patrol and observed the accused, Amanda LEBOLD a 30-year-old-female from the Town of Cobourg.

Police began an investigation into stolen bank cheques in January 2020 and subsequent deposits into the suspects own bank accounts.

 

Through investigation and numerous production orders Police were able to identify numerous suspects, including the accused.
As a result of the investigation the accused was charged with the following offences:

1. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 – Contrary to Section 355(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

2. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 – Contrary to Section 355(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

3. Drawing Document without Authority – Contrary to Section 374(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

4. Drawing Document without Authority – Contrary to Section 374(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

5. Use Forged Document – Contrary to Section 368(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

6. Use Forged Document – Contrary to Section 368(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

7. Fraud Under $5000 – Contrary to Section 380(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

8. Fraud Under $5000 – Contrary to Section 380(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

9. Breach of Probation – Contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada

10. Breach of Probation – Contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused was released on a promise to appear – officer in charge undertaking.
