Find A Bit Of Comic Relief Wherever You Can
At this point during the COVID-19 crisis, nothing seems “normal.”
Even a walk in downtown Cobourg is anything but.
Sure the stores would be closed by 8 p.m., but it just seemed different.
Store after store had the signs posting they were closed till further notice. Even a sign on Victoria Hall said it was closed.
Press releases said it, it’s another thing to see it.
But through all things that would depress anyone, it’s the little things that make people smile.
One sign on a door said, “close(d) hopefully not for too long.”
Another had a smilie face with the message, “see you soon.”
And yet another said, “keep a sense of humor folks – stay safe.”
One storefront window that is very well known for it’s displays even had a message with a number of Playmobil figures positioned in the window, but at a safe distance from each other.
“Please remember to practice physical distancing – Help prevent the spread of Corona Virus.”
These are depressing, scary times for everyone, but now and then, we could all use a bit of comic relief.
