Breaking News – Cobourg Police – Person Arrested for Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference
A person has been charged after Police complete an investigation into sexual assault allegations.
On the 22nd of December 2019, the Cobourg Police responded to private residence regarding the sexual assault of a child. Police conducted a joint investigation with the Children’s Aid Society and as a result of the police investigation, on Monday, December 23rd, 2019 a person was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
Sexual Interference contrary to section 151 of the Criminal Code
Sexual Assault contrary to section 271 of the Criminal Code
The person was released on an Undertaking with conditions to a future court date. The identity of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
