Port Hope Police – Break and Enter Update – Snake Wasn’t Stolen

Police were advised that the snake that was previously believed to be stolen was located inside the residence August 25th.

Police have determined this incident is not a break and enter as previously reported. Thanks to residents who contacted Police with possible information.

Port Hope Police officers were called to a Hope Street South residence after the owner determined that someone unlawfully entered the residence and removed an exotic reptile. It is believed that between 6:30pm and 10:00pm the 22 nd of August the incident occurred.

There were no signs of forced entry. Taken was “Ball Head Python”. Police are continuing the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Port Hope Police @ 905-885-8123, email confidentially @ PHPS@PHPS.on.ca or contact Crime Stoppers.
