Breaking News – Peterborough County OPP Investigating Collision on Highway 28

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews were called to assist at a collision at approximately 6:00pm on Highway 28 at Center Road.

A vehicle was travelling westbound on Center Road when it collided with a vehicle travelling southbound on Highway 28.

Two victims travelling in the westbound vehicle were airlifted to trauma centers in Ottawa and Toronto. One victim travelling in the southbound vehicle was transported to a local hospital.

Highway 28 has been closed down while members trained in Collision Reconstruction measure and document the scene. Detours are in place at Center Road and County Road 4. The closure will remain in place for several hours while police investigate.
