Amazing Day for The Grace Bowen Family Fun Day In Support Of Cancer Research
The fourth annual Grace Bowen Family Fun Day was held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Grafton Arena.
It was an amazing day of fun in support of research for childhood cancer.
Grace died at the age of nine-years-old on March 13, 2015 and during her battle and beyond the community has rallied around the Bowen family.
A ball hockey tournament had nearly 200 people participating in it.
There was games, radical run obstacle and jousting, face painting, silent auction, firefighter obstacle course and many other activities.
Speaking to Today’s Northumberland, Grace’s mother, Andrea said the Fun Day helps the family including her husband Greg and their daughter MacKenzie.
“I love when people say Grace’s name and just keeping her spirit alive. We’re all here remembering Grace, but we also here because Grace wanted to help others and this is our way of fulfilling that for Grace.”
Not including this years event, the Grace Bowen Family Fun Day has raised over $50,000 for the Grace Bowen Tribute Fund at The Hospital For Sick Children.
