City of Kawartha Lakes Police are investigating the deaths of two cats

The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service is investigating two separate incidents of a deceased cat being found in recycling materials from the Town of Lindsay.

On May 2, 2019 a deceased cat was located in recycling material collected from the Town of Lindsay, possibly from homes and business in the downtown core. The animal, which was a medium length haired, black and white male feline appeared to have been mistreated prior to its death.

The body of the second cat was located in Town of Lindsay recycling material on May 10, 2019.

The second cat was described as being dark brown with light coloured feet.
