Northumberland OPP – Local Woman Charged With Impaired

On Thursday February 21, 2019 at approximately 7:50 am, members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an intoxicated female leaving a restaurant in the town of Brighton driving a silver pick-up truck.

The pick-up truck was observed to have reversed almost striking a parked vehicle, and merely missed hitting the building of the restaurant before proceeding out of the parking lot onto Prince Edward Street..

Shortly after 8:00 am officers arrested the female driver at her residence after the pick-up truck was located in the driveway at an address on Dundas Street.

Danielle LONG (age 39) of Brighton, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

 

The accused was held until sober then released. She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on March 13, 2019.
