Touch-A-Truck Takes Over Port Hope Fairgrounds

Over 30 trucks took part in a”Touch a Truck ” eventin support of the “Honouring the Journey Campaign” for Ed’s House, Northumberland Hospice Care Centre on Saturday, October 13, 2018.

Police, paramedics, firetrucks, construction trucks, tow trucks army trucks and many, many more were on hand to let children get up close and inside the cabs of the vehicles.
The goal of the event was to raise funds and promote public awareness for the development of a Hospice Centre. Ed’s House, Northumberland Hospice Care Centre will provide hospice palliative care 24 hours a day seven days a week at no cost to the clients. The Centre will be located on Ontario Street north of Hwy 401 in Hamilton Township and will build upon the continuing development in the province of hospice hubs, model of care, a Centre of excellence in hospice palliative care, grief and bereavement support.
