UPDATE – Overnight Break And Enters In Cobourg Photos of Suspect

Cobourg Police are investigating after at least two businesses were entered sometime overnight on October, 9 or early October 10, 2018.
The businesses were located just east of D’Arcy Street and one of the break-ins was discovered when employees went to work.
One of the businesses was believed to have been entered sometime around 5 a.m.
A rear back door was pried open bending the inner lock on the garage style door allowing for entry.
It’s unknown if anything was taken and by the tracks around the area an atv may have been used.
Over the weekend, at least one trailer was broken into in the north end of Cobourg after a number of locks were broken to gain entry. It’s unknown if anything was taken.

Commercial Break and Enters
On Sunday October 7th, 2018 at approximately 6:28pm a male suspect gained entry to a fenced compound of a commercial premise in the North end of Cobourg. Once inside the suspect utilized bolt cutters to steal a trailer with two All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV’s). The suspect used a stolen truck from the Durham Region to remove the trailer from the compound.

The suspect then fled the area on one of the stolen ATV’s leaving the stolen truck behind. Neither of the ATV’s or the trailer has been located as of this time.

The ATV’s are described as:

1. 2017 Silver Can-Am Outlander 1000 – Ontario License Plate 8FA25
2. 2016 Brown Can-Am LP – Ontario License Plate 9PX91

The trailer is described as:
2017 White Atlas Enclosed Cargo Trailer – 20’ in length – Ontario License Plate B94 62M

On Wednesday October 10th, 2018 between the hours of 2:15am and 5:05am two commercial businesses in the D’Arcy Street area were the victims of a Break and Enter.
In both incidents an unknown suspect forced entry to the buildings causing a significant amount of damage.

The scene was examined by the Cobourg Police Service Forensic Identification Unit and is currently being investigated. At the time of this report only one of the businesses is reporting property having been stolen.

In all three incidents it is believed to be the same suspect involved.
