Mandy Martin submitted her candidacy for mayor of Cramahe Township on Tuesday.
“To be mayor of this magnificent municipality is a privilege, not a right,” Martin said in a news release. It is an honour to be earned, not assumed. That is why I am today standing for election as Mayor of Cramahe Township.”
Nominations for all five Cramahe Township council positions close 2 p.m. Friday, July 27 and Martin said she’ll be releasing details of her platform afterwards.
“I know, from championing Cramahe Township for the past 20-plus years, that our strength and integrity lies in how we work together, support, recognize and appreciate one another.”
Martin encouraged the public to step forward and consider running for a council position.
“Let’s make Cramahe Township council once again accountable to us — the citizens and residents who pay our hard-earned money in hopes of having a responsible elected government.”
