Cobourg Police – Male Arrested for Failing to Comply/Assault Police

The Cobourg Police have arrested a male for failing to comply with conditions of his current release and Assault Police
On Saturday the 7th of July, 2018, at approximately 2:05pm, Officers from the Cobourg Police Service attended in the area of James Street in the Town of Coburg, after receiving a report of a male observed walking in the middle of the street and attempting to remove street signs.
As a result of a subsequent Police investigation 36 year old Michael Rutledge of Cobourg was arrested and charged with Failing to Comply with Recognizance and Assault Police under the Criminal Code.
Michael Rutledge was held in custody, scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice, by way of video, for a bail hearing on the 8th day of July 2018.
