UPDATE – Castleton Woman Facing Several Drug Charges

UPDATE – On the 7th of July 2018, Port Hope Police conducted a traffic stop after the driver, Elizabeth Barrett age 30 was driving in a suspicious manner. 

As a result Barrett was arrested for various drug related offences

Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana – a very small amount was recovered in the vehicle 

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking  Crack Cocaine – various small bags of  plastic containing White crystal believed to be Cocaine . The cocaine was weighed in at 10.5 grams with a street value of $1050.00

The accused is also charged with Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine. The Cocaine had a street value of $425.00

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Crystal Methamphetamine.

Another container of drugs was located which was believed to be Crystal methamphetamine which had a street value of $720.00

Count 5: Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA.

One of the drugs inside a small pill container was identified as Tyrone/Oxycodone

The total street value of the drug is $20.00

Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Port Hope Police located a purple nylon Oakley glass case which contained small denomination bills and coins. The bills were rolled up and believed to be proceeds of trafficking drugs.

The bills consisted of $250 total

The coins consisted of $28.35 total

The total cash was $278.35

 

Note: In addition to these drugs there were three other pills located inside the prescription pill bottle.
