Cobourg Ecology Garden Announces an Addition

Cobourg’s Ecology Garden invites one and all May 24 for the arrival of extended family.
Volunteer Roma Colbert – who refers to the natural wonder on the Lake Ontario shore as a work of heart – has announced that three Jacquimonti Birch, one American Beech, one Shag Bark and a number of Chokecherry trees have recently been donated by local residents and by the town’s parks department.
They will be planted in a garden that has taken the loving shape of the volunteers who tend and nurture it, adding to the lovely ambience that they have created just south of Legion Village.
These new members of the family will be presented to the community Thursday at 2 p.m. In the Ecology Garden, located at the south end of Hibernia Street.
“Please join us for completion of the installation of these magnificent gifts,” Colbert said.
