Ontario Investing in Local Projects and Creating Opportunity in Cramahe Township

  Province Supporting Local Organizations

Ontario is investing in local projects across the province to create opportunity for families and build healthy and vibrant communities.

Lou Rinaldi, MPP for Northumberland-Quinte West was in Colborne today to announce that local non-profit and charitable organizations will receive support from the province through the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

Cramahe Township will receive support to improve infrastructure with a $150,000 grant over 12 months to expand library space for various programs by adding an addition, and restructuring interior space. Enriching people’s lives through arts, culture and heritage, this initiative is helping arts, culture and heritage have appropriate spaces, and has an impact on the lives of 6,355 people in the community.

These projects are funded through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s latest round of grants that will support 225 organizations across the province, and make a difference in the lives of 545,000 people across Ontario.

Ontario’s plan to support care, create opportunity and make life more affordable during this period of rapid economic change includes a higher minimum wage and better working conditions, free tuition for hundreds of thousands of students, easier access to affordable child care, and free prescription drugs for everyone under 25, and 65 or over, through the biggest expansion of medicare in a generation.
