Panthers Still In The Hunt Against Chiefs Taking The Win at the Jack Burger Sports Complex

Despite an undisciplined penalty in the warm-up that cost the Port Hope Panthers a goal, they fought back and beat the Lakefield Chiefs on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Jack Burger Sports Complex in playoff action.
Facing elimination down 3-0 in games it was a must win for the Panthers, but during warm-up they received a delay of game for having players on the ice after the buzzer went to end the warm-up.
The Chiefs scored on the power play, but that was their only goal of the night.
Panthers Evan Foley scored at 2:52 of the first period with an assist from Nathan Snoek.
The period ended tied at one, but during the second, the Panthers managed to stay strong and scored two goals.
Dayton Kent scored at 6:09 with assists by Cameron Harris and Kevin Lemaitre.
At 10:33 Cameron McGill scored to make it 3-1 with assists by Graham Dickerson and Kallen McFarland.
In the third period Graham Dickerson scored at 11:19 with assists by Brad Bollert and Kallen McFarland.
And finishing off the scoring was Andrew Gurr scoring a short handed empty net goal at 18:04.
The Panthers were out shot by Lakefield 30-25.
Lakefield served 22 minutes on seven infractions and Port Hope served 50 minutes on 14 infractions.
Nathan Snoek received two misconducts and thereby being penalized a game misconduct.
The next game in the series is Thursday in Lakefield.
