Suspects Sought after Male Shot in a Home Invasion in Pickering
Police are looking for two suspects after a violent home invasion in Pickering which resulted in one victim being shot.
On Saturday, March 17, 2018 at approximately 11:45 p.m., members of West Division responded to a residence on Annland Street in Pickering for reports of a home invasion. According to witnesses, two masked males, armed with guns forced their way into the residence and shot the 31-year-old victim who was inside one of the bedrooms. The suspects fled on foot prior to police arrival.
Police located the victim with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The victim was taken to a Toronto trauma centre.
There were two occupants including the victim in the residence at the time of the incident.
At this time, police do not believe this was a random incident. Responding officers, including K-9 and Air1 searched the area but did not locate the suspects.
The suspects are described as two males, possibly in their teens, thin builds, wearing masks and armed with guns.
