Two Suspects Wanted after Grocery Store Robbed in Ajax

Investigators are looking for two suspects after an armed robbery at an Ajax grocery store Thursday night.

At approximately 11:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018, members of West Division responded to a commercial robbery at Sal’s Grocery Store on Harwood Avenue South in Ajax. Two males, one armed with a gun, assaulted one of the store employees as they entered through a back door. The suspects then tied up the two employees while they stole cash from the safe. The victims were able to free themselves and contacted police. The suspects fled the store and drove off in a vehicle.

The employees suffered minor injuries.

The suspects are described as;

Suspect #1 – male, wearing a grey sweater, grey track pants and a black toque, he was armed with a handgun.

 

Suspect #2 – male, wearing all black and carrying a black bag.   

Suspect vehicle is described as a silver vehicle.
