Della Casa Family Accepts Offer To Sell Woodlawn Inn

In Local

The Della Casa family announced on Friday, August 28, 2020 that the Woodlawn Inn has been sold.

The announcement was posted on the website of the business and started off by saying, “from the Della Casa family to our much-loved customers and community.”

“After 32 wonderful years in the hospitality business, the Della Casa family made the bittersweet decision this week to accept an offer of purchase for the property at 420 Division Street.

As a family and a hospitality team, it has been our privilege to serve the families, businesses and organizations of Northumberland and beyond these many years.

As innkeepers we have had a unique opportunity at 420 Division St. to be the backdrop for so many celebrations, special occasions and memories–from small dinners to large-scale weddings, holiday parties and receptions and corporate events. It has truly been an honour and a privilege to welcome each and every guest into our business and we look forward to staying connected in the years ahead.

As we shared with our team earlier today, barring any new government directives related to COVID-19, it is our intention to remain open for the next eight weeks, serving hotel, dining room and take-out clients, through Friday, October 23rd, 2020.

We are grateful for the hard work of each and every member of our team, present and past, the exceptional time and talents that helped to build the Woodlawn brand, and, of course, to all our many patrons through the years. Thank you for your support and your understanding as we make this transition.”
